A Day in Dots

I recently visited the Hirshhorn Museum to see Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrors exhibit (I♥ working at the Smithsonian).  Since I couldn't take Moshe Moshi and Lexi Liu, their stunt doubles, Mo-Mo and Loo were more than happy to accompany me and stand in their place.

The exhibit is not solely of the Infinity Mirrors, which is just one element.  To really appreciate what Ms. Yayoi is conveying in the work, you truly must see this as a whole.

There is even a room where you can participate in creating the art by placing colorful dots anyplace in the room you can reach.

The stunt doubles decided to put their dots at a point of perception known well to cats, but not seen by most humans, that is until the scratches appear.  Then they can't stop looking at it. #DONTDECLAW

If you are in the Washington DC area, it is a must see. The Cherry Blossoms are starting to bloom, so make it a long weekend. Engage the link below in finding out more about the Hirshhorn and the Infinity Mirrors.
